Tom has extensive experience in the retail sector, built on general management and board level roles in general merchandise, stationery and entertainment products, with a particular emphasis on buying, merchandising and supply chain management.For the past four years he has primarily worked in the healthcare sector and was appointed chairman of West Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust in October 2010.
Career Highlights:

Tom received an MBA from Stanford before spending five years with McKinsey. He then worked for W H Smith as Head of Planning, and then as Merchandise Director for stationery and cards at W H Smith Retail. He subsequently worked as a Project Manager and consultant in retailing, consumer goods, distribution, business services and media, operating across all functions.Tom has worked with leading venture capital firms both as an advisor and leader of several MBI bids. He has served as a director of a number of private companies, including Investor Director of SLSS (Holdings), the Oyez Stationery MBO.In 2000 he joined Gamestation – the video games retailer – as Non-executive Chairman, helping it grow from 26 stores to 70 before negotiating its sale to Blockbuster in 2002.In 1994 Tom founded The Brackenbury Group which, in 2001, evolved into The Chambers. He currently serves as its Chairman.
